Islam Awareness Week

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) is hosting Islam Awareness Week (IAW), featuring a series of events meant to increase understanding about the religion. 


March 27th, Monday: ‘Notre Dame Hijab Day’, hijabs will be passed out at Fieldhouse Mall from 10 am to 2 pm. Please stop by, grab a nice head scarf and Krispy Kreme donut.
March 28th, Tuesday: Talk titled The Qur’an in Conversation by Quaker scholar Michael Birkel, which discusses the Qur’an in regards to contemporary issues. At Rice Commons, Saint Mary’s college, 7 pm. Refreshments will be served.
March 29th, Wednesday: Qur’an Halaqah, engage in conversation about several verses from the Qur’an and their meanings. At Saint Andre room, Coleman Morse student center, 6 pm. Refreshments will be served.
March 30th, Thursday: IAW dinner, Islam through the ages and Muslim contributions throughout the history. At Coleman Morse student center, 7 pm, Rsvp here http://bit.ly/2mPJiGP.
March 31st, Friday: Visit to the local mosque, individuals can observe the Friday prayer service and ask questions. Lunches and rides will be provided. 1-3 pm. Rsvp here. http://bit.ly/2mfU4lu
