The Department of Arabic Studies is hosting a small workshop this week for students to learn the basics of Arabic Calligraphy under the instruction of Mahmoud Youness. Youness is a Notre Dame Presidential Fellow and a Mullen Family Fellow. Before coming to Notre Dame he taught at the Civilization Studies Program and in the Department of Philosophy at The American University of Beirut.
 
The event is taking place in the Classics Department's student lounge, O'Shaughnessy 253 A, on Tuesday April 29 at 6:30 pm.
